Soul Debt: Devil's in the Details

A$5.00

You died. That much is settled.

What happens next depends on who was watching.

Soul Debt is an infernal bargain plugin for the Table of One system. It gives your AI dungeon master a complete framework for running devil encounters — from the first anonymous gift that arrives without explanation, to the moment you sign something you didn't read carefully enough, to everything that follows.

What's in the plugin:

Nine archdevils of the Nine Hells, each with their own approach method, psychological target profile, voice register, and hard limits on how they behave. The plugin tells the AI which devil is most likely to come for your character based on who you are — not randomly, but deliberately. Zariel wants the paladin who crossed a line. Mammon wants the rogue who never has enough. Asmodeus wants the hero who's certain they're the exception.

A five-stage encounter structure governs every infernal contact from first anonymous gift to formal contract. Oh you died but wanted to keep adventuring? The devil is already waiting for you, the pen is already out, and the terms are already written. You just have to decide if you're signing.

Nine contract templates, one per devil. Every contract has terms you can read and terms you can't. The buried clauses are technically present. The AI will read them aloud if you ask. It will not summarise them.

A consequence engine with four escalation tiers. The mark. The compulsion. The extraction. The claim. Redemption is possible. Being good makes it worse.

Full DM roleplay directives covering how each devil speaks, what they will never do, how they respond when you resist, when you attack, and when you finally say no.

Requires: Any Table of One compatible ruleset.
